Emirates Integrates Spotify Content into Inflight Entertainment for Enhanced Passenger Experience

 

Emirates has announced a partnership with Spotify, enabling passengers to access curated playlists and podcasts directly through its inflight entertainment system, ice. Starting today, Emirates customers can select from a range of Spotify's curated music and podcasts as part of the airline's inflight offering.

Ian Geller, Spotify's VP of Business Development, commented on the partnership: "At Spotify, we want to be everywhere our listeners are, so we’re thrilled to partner with Emirates to deliver best-in-class playlist and podcast entertainment for fliers around the world. From signature playlists to top podcasts, we’re bringing Emirates customers an inspiring, curated experience—at 30,000 feet and beyond."

Through this collaboration, Emirates passengers will have access to over 140 Spotify podcast episodes across genres such as business, sports, entertainment, and true crime. Some highlighted podcasts include:

What Now? with Trevor Noah – Featuring discussions between Trevor Noah and various celebrities and thought leaders.

The Bill Simmons Podcast – Offering insights into sports and pop culture with guests like Tom Hanks, Adam Sandler, and Larry David.

Case 63 – A scripted podcast known for its storytelling, with performances by Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac, available in multiple languages.

Additionally, Emirates customers will be able to enjoy select Spotify playlists, presented as custom mixtapes that include:

RapCaviar Mixtape – Focused on current hip-hop tracks.

Viva Latino Mixtape – Highlighting popular Latin music.

Jazz Classics Mixtape – Featuring a range of classic jazz.

Arabic Classics Mixtape – Showcasing traditional Arabic music.

Passengers can scan a QR code to continue listening on Spotify after their flight, and can also personalize their experience by creating playlists on the Emirates Mobile App for onboard access.
